Stitching Across the World: The Heart of Our TikTok Sewing Community

When I first started sharing sewing videos and going Live on TikTok in January 2025, I thought I was simply posting tutorials and creative inspiration. What I didn’t expect was to become part of something so much bigger—a global community stitched together by creativity, connection, and care.

Every time I go Live for a sew-along, it amazes me to see where everyone is joining from. Different states. Different countries. Different time zones. Yet in that moment, we’re all doing the same thing—cutting fabric, threading needles, and creating something beautiful together.

More Than Just Sewing

What makes this community so special isn’t just the projects we make—it’s how we show up for each other.

In the comments, I see encouragement, kindness, and patience. Beginners feel safe asking questions. Experienced sewists generously share tips. And no one is made to feel like they’re “behind” or “not good enough.”

That’s rare. And it’s something I protect deeply.

Because Crafting Therapy Shop has always been about more than sewing—it’s about using creativity as a way to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

A Space to Feel Calm and Capable

Life can feel overwhelming. Busy. Loud. Constant.

But when we sit down to sew—even for just an hour—we give ourselves permission to focus on one thing. One seam. One stitch. One small, meaningful step forward.

And when you’re doing that alongside hundreds or thousands of others who are also choosing calm? It becomes something powerful.

I’ve had people share that these Lives are the most peaceful part of their day. Others say it’s the first time they’ve tried sewing in years. Some are learning for the very first time.
